Rea Road Animal Hospital

About Our Hospital

We strive to strengthen the special bond between pets and their owners by providing veterinary care with a warm bedside manner. Clients of Rea Road Animal Hospital can expect their pets to be treated with warmth and clarity so that both animals and humans feel welcomed at our practice. It’s no secret we love animals, and will treat your pet as our own.

Our History

Rea Road Animal Hospital has been happy to provide exceptional veterinary medicine in Charlotte, North Carolina since 1999. The practice originally started with one associate veterinarian and Dr. Alan Dozier in 2000. Today, led by Dr. Blair Smith, Rea Road has grown in size to accommodate all of your pet’s veterinary needs. We offer cutting-edge services like laser therapy and modern ACL repair surgery, while focusing on preventative wellness care.

Our goal is to provide the best veterinary care in a welcoming and warm environment to all dogs, cats, and critters of Charlotte. In addition, it is important to us that all owners feel knowledgeable and comfortable about their pets’ health. We pride ourselves on providing clear and effective advice during each hospital visit and encourage you to feel comfortable asking questions. Ultimately, we want our animal clients leaving Rea Road Animal Hospital happy and healthy!

At Rea Road Animal Hospital, we believe being involved with the community is empowering. You can find us giving back to the community by throwing events and working with senior high school students for their exit classes. We also work with rescues and service dogs to help provide much-needed care.
